First Time on A Segway- Alabama

So my friend and college roomie  Morgen hit me up one week during the summer and told me she was coming to visit. She lived about an hour and a half away in a much more poppin city, so I instantly Googled cool things to do in my city so she wouldn't be bored and so I'd have an excuse to do something fun and out of the ordinary. After combing through a list of options (which all sucked), I found a small business in town that gave segway tours. I'd never been on a segway and neither had she, so it was lit.

Here we are before the tour lookin like 2 Milk Duds. (Our hair was SMUSHED under these helmets)

I won't lie. It took a couple of minutes to find my balance. When I first stepped on and wobbled a little, I was in an instant state of horror and regret. "Is this how I die?", I thought. But eventually after relaxing and listening to the instructor, I got the hang of it. Riding a segway is all in the hips NOT the knees (fun fact).

I built up a little courage:  enough to record Snapchat videos.

I had a great time! Our tour was at sunset, so we got to watch the sun set over the river downtown. I should have taken more pictures, but I was living in the moment and taking it all in.

Our amazing tour guide even offered to take pictures of us at various points during the tour, so again it was lit.
